The most common reason a match doesn't count is because of timing:
- the match started before the user joined the challenge, or
- the match started before the challenge started, or
- the match ended after the challenge ended
NOTE: Match start time is based on the time the match was created (when the 10 players are matched and start the pre-game process), not when gameplay begins.
Matches that started before the challenge or before the user joined the challenge are not counted, because this is a way to cheat (start a game, and if you're doing well, then join the challenge).
To make sure your matches are not disqualified due to timing, we recommend joining the challenge and waiting for it to start before entering the game lobby.
Besides timing, the main reasons a challenge wouldn't count are if you are not playing according to the required conditions, such as:
- Match was in the wrong queue
- The champion you played at wasn't allowed for that challenge
- The lane you played wasn't allowed for that challenge
- The challenge only counts wins, and you lost the match
- The challenge only counts a certain number of matches, and you exceeded that number
